What is a ski lease?
A ski lease is a furnished home that's yours for the winter. Most leases start in December or January and run through April. You move in, leave your skis by the door, and come and go all season.

Your home is always ready. No checking availability before every storm. When the forecast looks good, you just drive up.
Your gear stays put. Skis, boots, the stocked fridge, the kids' sleds. Everything waits for you between trips.

- Browse the homes on Available Ski Leases. If a home is listed there, it's still available.
- Fill out the Ski Lease Request Form with the homes you like and your dates, or call us at 530-582-6186. Leases aren't booked online.
- Our leasing team follows up with pricing, lease terms and next steps.
- Sign your lease, move in and ski.
Homes lease one at a time, and the best locations go first.
What's included
Every lease home comes fully furnished, with maintenance handled by our local team. Most also include contracted driveway plowing. On big storm days crews plow all day, so timing varies.
Utilities and Wi-Fi aren't included. If your home has a hot tub, service is already set up, and tenants cover the cost during the lease.
Find a ski lease near your mountain
Palisades Tahoe and Alpine Meadows. Look at homes in Alpine Meadows and Tahoe City. Some are near the free resort shuttle, so you can skip weekend parking. Read our Palisades Tahoe parking guide before your first day.
- 3 Sisters' Snow Crest Escape (Alpine Meadows, 4 bedrooms). Close to the free shuttle to Alpine.
- Pettingell – LFG 98 (Tahoe City, 3 bedrooms). Dog friendly, minutes from town and the lake.
Close to Northstar. Kings Beach, Carnelian Bay and Gray's Crossing in Truckee are all a short drive to Northstar California. Read our Northstar parking guide before your first ski day.
- Mountain Modern in Gray's Crossing (Truckee, 4 bedrooms, sleeps 10). About 15 minutes to Northstar and minutes to downtown Truckee, with a two-car garage, a remote work space and a fire pit for après.
- Pinecone Place (Kings Beach, 3 bedrooms, sleeps 10). Room for the whole crew, a short drive to Northstar.
- The Deckhouse on Carnelian Bay (Carnelian Bay, 1 bedroom). Lake views from the deck and an easy drive to Northstar.
Sugar Bowl and Tahoe Donner. Donner Lake and Tahoe Donner put you closest to Sugar Bowl and the I-80 resorts.
- Hillside Retreat (Tahoe Donner, 4 bedrooms). Game room and a garage for gear.
- McCrum (Donner Lake, 2 bedrooms). A short drive to Sugar Bowl.

When do ski leases start? Most start in December or January and run through April.
When should I book? As early as you can. Most homes lease by fall, and a few are still open now.

Is snow removal included? Most lease homes include contracted driveway plowing. Crews work through the day on big storm days, so we can't promise a time.
Is the hot tub included? Hot tub service is set up for you, and tenants pay for it during the lease.
Which resorts are closest to Truckee? Northstar, Palisades Tahoe and Sugar Bowl are all within a short drive, so Truckee is a good base if you like to ski more than one.
