Location: Truckee and North Lake Tahoe, CA
Compensation: $33-$36/Hour + Performance-Based Bonuses

About Us
We are a fast-growing vacation rental and property management company based in Truckee and North Lake Tahoe. We take pride in delivering five-star experiences for our homeowners and guests, and we believe a well-maintained home is at the heart of that. Our team is tight-knit, collaborative, and genuinely invested in the success of every property in our portfolio.
About the Role
This role keeps our portfolio running. You'll handle a wide range of maintenance and repair work across our properties, from diagnosing a faulty thermostat to reinforcing a deck to installing a smart lock. No two days look the same, and the work is hands-on, varied, and genuinely useful.
This is a role for someone who takes pride in doing things right the first time, communicates clearly, and works well as part of a coordinated team. You'll partner closely with our maintenance coordinator and field team to keep properties guest-ready and owners confident in the care their home receives.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct property assessments to identify deferred maintenance, safety issues, and necessary or reasonable upgrades or repairs, and perform general property maintenance and repair work as needed
Perform general carpentry, including deck and railing maintenance and small deck restaining
Perform minor plumbing repairs such as leaking faucets and running toilets
Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with thermostats, hot water heaters, and furnaces
Patch, texture, and paint drywall
Install, troubleshoot, and repair appliances, and assist with appliance upgrades
Repair and install window screens
Assist with property furnishings and punch-list work, including furniture assembly, hanging art, and installing blinds and window coverings
Troubleshoot locks and latches, and install smart locks and related hardware
Replace and upgrade light fixtures and switches for comfort and compatibility
Perform deep cleaning such as pressure washing decks, garages, and other hard surfaces
Complete seasonal yard cleanup, including pine needle raking, with interest in learning defensible space best practices
Handle general pest control and minor exterior repair work
Assist the field team with inspections and property readiness for guests, tenants, and owners
Provide cost estimates for repair and improvement projects
What We're Looking For
A skilled handyman with hands-on trade experience across plumbing, electrical basics, general repair, and property maintenance
A problem solver who diagnoses efficiently, starting with the most likely cause rather than the worst case
Able to scope a job accurately and provide realistic cost estimates
A clear, direct communicator, comfortable asking questions and giving straight answers
A genuine team player who works well within a coordinated team, not solely independently
Open to certifications that expand the role, such as Defensible Space or hot tub/spa maintenance, with company support to pursue them
Room to grow within the company for the right person, though we're equally happy with someone who wants to excel as a technician without moving into a supervisory track
Comfortable taking direction from a technical, hands-on leadership team
Based in Truckee or North Lake Tahoe with a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle (required)
Why You'll Love It
Steady, varied work across a well-maintained, growing portfolio
Support and investment in certifications that expand your skill set
Competitive hourly pay with performance-based bonuses
401(k) with company match
Health, dental, and vision coverage
Paid holidays and paid time off
