On July 4th, the Donner Lake West End Beach Celebration & Fireworks is a beloved, classic community event featuring games, music, BBQs, and fireworks.
To enter and view from West End Beach, you must show proof of residence within the district, such as a driver's license, utility bill, car registration, tax bill, or lease agreement, to purchase $20 tickets from the Truckee-Donner Parks and Recreation District. Tickets will not be sold at the gate, and the final day to purchase them at the Community Recreation Center is July 3.
The beach opens at 9 am for an all-day celebration. Be sure to purchase your tickets before July 3rd, as they typically sell out quickly. From 1 pm to 8 pm, enjoy live music and family fun, including an egg toss, tug of war, three-legged races, and a pie-eating contest. You can bring up to eight guests, as up to eight tickets can be purchased at a time.
The day concludes with a spectacular fireworks display over Donner Lake from 9:30 pm to 10 pm. The show can be viewed from various points around Donner Lake. Consider carpooling, as parking will be very limited.
