Maintaining the cleanliness of your Lake Tahoe or Truckee vacation home is one of the most important methods to ensure return guests. Below, you’ll find the responsibilities of our office, the homeowner, and our guests. Following these guidelines will help to ensure that your home is kept clean, safe, well maintained, and popular with renters.


Tahoe Truckee Vacation Properties Responsibilities:

  • Advertise and promote your property
  • Screen guests to the best of our ability
  • Personally check each property prior to and following the departure of each rental guest
  • Ensure your home is properly secured upon tenant departure, including turning the heat down, locking all doors and windows, and turning off water during winter months
  • Note any damages and report any maintenance problems immediately to the homeowner
  • Collect monies for any damages and coordinate repair efforts efficienty and immediately
  • Contact local repair professionals to complete any necessary repairs
  • Schedule all housekeeping services and perform regular inspections
  • Coordinate spring cleaning efforts

 

Owner Responsibilities:

  • Maintain property to ensure properly functioning appliances, comfortable furnishings, etc.
  • Replace bedding as needed
  • Organize annual window and carpet cleanings
  • Manage semi-annual deep cleans
  • Manage pest control
  • Manage spa/hot tub service (if applicable)
  • Arrange snow removal

Guest Responsibilities:

  • Treat home with respect and follow any posted homeowner or association rules
  • Empty trash and run dishwasher upon departure
  • Remove all personal belongings
  • Report any problems to management immediately
  • Clean up after pets (if applicable)
  • Properly secure the property upon departure
  • Return all keys to management office
